Indian Church of Only Saviour (“ICOS”, “we”, “us”) provides the ICOS Songs Book mobile application for Android and iOS. This policy explains what information is used when you use the app.
1. Who we are
ICOS Songs Book is a church songs app with Tamil psalms, lyrics, music notes, audio, and video for worship. It is provided by Indian Church of Only Saviour.

2. Information we do not collect
The app does not require a login. We do not collect or store:
- Name, email, phone number, or address
- Account passwords or payment details
- Precise location, contacts, camera, or microphone
- Advertising IDs for our own ads (the app has no ICOS ads)
3. Information used to run the app
Some features need the internet. When you use them, technical data may be processed automatically by the services that deliver the content:
- Lyrics, PDFs, and music notes are included in the app. They can be read offline.
- Audio songs are streamed from our cloud storage when you press play. Internet is required.
- Video songs play through the official YouTube player. Internet is required.
- New release lists may be loaded from a public YouTube playlist feed.
- App update check may read a version file from our hosting so we can tell you when a new store update is available.
This may include your IP address, device type, network information, and the song or video you requested. We use this only to play content and keep the app working. We do not sell this data.
4. YouTube and Google
Video playback uses YouTube’s official embedded player. When a video plays, Google / YouTube may collect data according to their own policies, which we do not control. YouTube may also show ads on a video that belongs to YouTube.

5. Audio playback
When you play audio, the app may keep the screen awake and use a media playback service so the song can continue while the phone is locked. No personal profile is created from this.
6. Permissions
Depending on your device, the app may use:
- Internet — audio, video, lists, and updates
- Network state — to show if there is no connection
- Foreground media playback — so audio can continue in the background
We do not use these permissions to track you or to access your personal files for marketing.
7. Children
The app contains Christian worship songs suitable for church and family use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data by email, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Data sharing
We do not sell or rent user data. Data may be processed by:
- Google / YouTube — when you play a video
- Our cloud host — when you stream audio or check for updates
- Apple App Store (ICOS Songs Book on the App Store) or Google Play (ICOS Songs Book on Google Play) — when you download or update the app. Store privacy rules also apply: Apple Privacy Policy and Google Privacy Policy.
We may share information if required by law, or to protect the church and users from fraud or abuse.
9. Data retention
We do not keep user accounts. Emails you send to [email protected] are kept only as long as needed to reply and then deleted or stored with our church records as required.
10. Security
We use standard hosting and HTTPS where the services support it. No method of transmission is fully secure. Please do not send sensitive personal information through the app.
11. Your choices
- Use lyrics and PDFs without playing online media.
- Turn off internet if you do not want audio or video to load.
- Uninstall the app at any time from your device.

12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app changes. The new date will be shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
